Auckland

New Zealand’s supercity is a far-reaching district of contrasts.

When it enters north Auckland the trail leaves glorious white sandy beaches and ventures inland for a taste of the semi-rural. Then it returns back to the coast via suburban footpaths. With a ferry into the heart of the business district, Te Araroa leaves the Pacific Ocean and heads across the isthmus to the Manukau Harbour. Next, it ventures inland to experience more of the diverse Auckland region.
