Description
(North to South)

From the forest gate, follow Te Wairoa Rd (a forestry road) in a S-E direction through the Waitangi Forest. After 7.5kms, you turn south onto Te Puke Road and pass beneath the summit of Te Puke (136m).  Continue on 2 kms to pass Mt Bledisoe (105m) before turning East onto Haruru Falls Rd. Leaving the forest behind, you emerge onto Tau Henare Drive which runs through the Waitangi Golf Course, past the Waitangi Treaty House and down to the Waitangi Bridge.

Notes:
* There are many side roads in this forest so take care you are on the correct road.
* The track passes through the Waitangi Endowment Forest – part of New Zealand’s conservation estate, originally gifted to the nation by the then Governor General, Lord Bledisloe, in 1936.
* At the southerly exit from the pine forest is the Te Araroa Cairn, assembled from local volcanic rock by Kerikeri sculptor Chris Booth.
