Description
(North to South)

Follow SH4 south (for 7.5 kms), through Upokongaro Village and on to the road junction with Kaimatira Rd. Turn south into this road and follow it to the end/junction with No. 3 Line (a road; Gordon Park Scenic Reserve is on your right).
Turn left/east onto No. 3 Line and follow it (for 6 kms) through Okoia, and past Kaukatea Valley Rd & Waikupa Rd on your left and over the railway line. 
Turn left/SE into Matarawa Valley Rd & follow it (for 8.5kms) until it leads onto Station Rd and into Fordell and the junction with No 2 Line (a road).
Turn left/West on No 2 Line, then left again into Warrengate Rd. After 5kms, you reach the junction with SH3.
Turn right/SE onto SH3 and follow it for 13 kms through Whangaehu and on to the village of Turakina.
