Description (North to South) |
This bypass involves a 13 km road walk along Maungatapu Rd and then Mt Richmond Rd to the Pelorus River Track trailhead. Initially the road is sealed and passes through farm land. Later it is unsealed and has exotic and indigenous forest sections.
Te Araroa Trust is working to reduce and ultimately remove this section of road walking. |
