Description (North to South) |
This final Te Araroa section takes walkers from Invercargill to Stirling Point, Bluff.
The start point in Invercargill is on Stead Street at the sign to Stead Street Wharf. The track currently extends to Lake Street and there is a programme in place to make progress towards Bluff. For now it’s a 21 km walk from Lake Street along the Bluff Highway to Ocean Beach where the Foveaux Walkway starts. This final 7.2 km track follows the south coast around the base of Bluff Hill to Te Araroa’s southern terminus at Stirling Point. |
