A new way to connect trail walkers with trail towns.
Every year, thousands of walkers take on the incredible journey of Te Araroa, New Zealand’s national trail stretching from Cape Reinga to Bluff. As they pass through towns and communities along the way, they’re not just seeking adventure, they’re looking for places to rest, refuel, and experience the manaakitanga that makes Aotearoa so special. That’s where Te Araroa Locals comes in.
Te Araroa Locals is a new initiative connecting trail-friendly businesses with the vibrant community of Te Araroa walkers. Whether you’re a café, accommodation provider, gear shop, or local attraction – becoming a Local means putting your business on the trail map – literally!
