Rodney sees us right

  • 24 Nov 2009
Te Araroa is now signposted through the Rodney District. A CityCare team working with Te Araroa’s northern project manager Stefan Seitzer has installed 27 new bollards and adapted 60 existing posts to mark out Te Araroa’s route from Mangawhai to Stillwater.

"There's still some street signage to be put in, but the main markers at track junctions are now in place right through the district," said Stefan.

That’s over 100 km of route – thanks to Rodney District Council, which paid for this effort, and specifically to Chris Burgess, the Ops Manager for Parks, to Ian Murray  Manager of Environmental Services, to Peter Bilton Capital Works engineer, and Peter Galliven of Property Services.  Thanks also to Terry Rawlinson from CityCare, and Te Araroa’s Fiona Mackenzie.
